Summary

Our Outstanding client based in Fradley park are looking for a Health and safety coordinator to join there team on a permanent basis.

Job description

You will be supporting the SHE Manager in day to day tasks.

The role –

·         Preparing Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for upcoming projects

·         Review of contractors risk assessments and method statements, prior to works commencing and providing feedback where these do not meet requirements.

·         Assessing pre-construction information for hazards and risks.

·         Managing contractors with regards to their submittal of project documentation.

·         Completion of designated projects for the continual improvement of the company health and safety management systems.

·         Liaising with Clients, Principal Designers and CDM Advisors over the telephone and face to face.

·         Monitoring of Health and Safety Administrators to ensure they complete their tasks for upcoming projects

·         Preparation of project Operation Manuals, Health and Safety Files and other project hand over documentation. 

·         Complying with the requirements of health and safety legislation applicable to the role.

·         Communicating effectively with others to promote an open safety culture.

·         Complying with the health and safety arrangements, policy and procedures set out by the company to protect the safety of themselves and others affected by their acts.

 

The Person –

·         Proven experience in a Health and Safety role (2 years minimum)

·         Fluent with the use of Microsoft office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

·         NEBOSH Certificate/NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.

·         Confident and willing to communicate with Senior Managers, Clients and Site Personnel.

·         Have the ability and confidence to provide advice on health and safety matters.

·         Good telephone manner.

·         Strong administration skills.

 

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9:00 – 5:00pm
